The Clarou's marine collagen Peptan® is formulated with peptides type I collagen hydrolyzate containing 20 amino acids, including 8 of the 9 essential. It is characterized by the predominance of glycine, proline and hydroxyproline (Figure 1). This composition provides Peptan® multifunctional properties not found in other protein sources.

Peptan®'s hydrolyzed collagen peptides have high digestibility and bioavailability, ensuring functional improvement action.

A dose of 10 g of peptides Peptan® has shown to act on the joints, reducing joint pain and preventing the degeneration of articular cartilage. They also have effect on articular functional improvement in women with knee arthritis, since they are involved in maintaining bone structure. On one hand, the peptides inhibit the action of osteoclasts and therefore reduce the degradation of the bone mass, while stimulates differentiation of cells into osteoblasts contributing to the reconstruction of bone. This double action is manifested in increased bone mineral density and the size and strength of bone.

Thanks to all these properties on joint health and bone, collagen peptides Peptan® are highly recommended for people susceptible to inflammation and joint and bone degeneration as are elderly, menopausal women and athletes in general.

To complete the synergistic effect of marine collagen were added to the formulation the following compounds:

  • MSM: sulfur compound essential to provide strength and firmness cartilage.
  • Glucosamine Substance that serves to maintain the structure of articular cartilage and cushion the joints, preventing joint degeneration and inflammation. With vitamin C contributes to the synthesis of collagen.
  • Hyaluronic acid: compound that fills the spaces between the joints and provides cushioning.
  • Magnesium: contributes to the optimal functioning of muscles and bones.
  • Vitamin-D helps calcium absorption wing needed to maintain bone density and prevent the bones become fragile and brittle.
